My Interview with Cerise Phiv @ERenlai

I was recently asked to do an interview about my experiences volunteering in Asia. Obviously, I jumped at the chance to share my stories, good and bad, in the hopes of encouraging others to volunteer and even more importantly, to do their research.

We discussed many of the subjects I have previously written about, in particular, how to avoid the “gap year cliche” aka voluntourism.

You can see the full interview here. I still can’t bring myself to watch it, I find it so weird to watch my self on camera!!!

They also included a link to my article on “Making Your Time As A Volunteer Count” where I have shared ideas and tips of how to get into volunteering an the kinds of things that you can do.
